History
T.R. Haliç University is a foundation university which was established with the Law No. 4324 dated January 14, 1998 and whose establishment was published in the Official Gazette dated January 18, 1998, started its academic life on November 23, 1998. In the founding law of Haliç University, there are Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Business Administration, School of Nursing, School of Physical Education and Sports, Institute of Health Sciences and Conservatory. The Institute of Social Sciences and the Faculty of Fine Arts were established with the decision of the Council of Ministers numbered 2003 / 6330.
Dormitory and Accommodation
Haliç University attaches importance to solving the accommodation needs of students. In its new building, the university dormitory serves students who come from outside of Istanbul or who need accommodation. The dormitory building, which has been carefully planned considering the basic needs of male and female students, offers students a clean and warm family atmosphere with its contemporary infrastructure and modern appearance. Cafeteria services, central heating and continuous hot water, laundry and ironing service, 24-hour security, telephone facilities and 24-hour Internet connection that students can reach all over the world are some of these services.
Library
Haliç University Library was established in the 1998-1999 academic period when the university started education and training. Library aims to provide the necessary materials and publications to support the University's scientific studies and to put them at the service of Faculty Members and Students. The library serves within the University building.
Technology
In its education-teaching centers; A 24-hour library with all kinds of technical equipment, with a seating capacity of 150 students, 4000 Turkish and English books and 10 computers with internet connection, a computer laboratory with PIII-6000 machines for 35 people, a biology laboratory for 25 people equipped with the latest technology and a Physics-Chemistry for 25 people laboratory, a research laboratory affiliated to the molecular biology and genetics department, and 1 computer laboratory (25 machines) connected to the network.
Nutrition
It offers "hot meals" to its students with its kitchen that can serve 600 people at the same time and its restaurant with a seating capacity of 200 people. The menus prepared by considering the nutritional values that young people should take every day meet the nutritional needs of the students. In addition, students can also benefit from the cafeteria that provides "fast food" service.
Health
There is an infirmary in the campus where a doctor and a nurse are always present, where the examination and emergency response needs of the students are met.
